The project explores the cyclical nature of life, emphasizing the life cycle of materials and the human relationship with them. Addressing exploitative tendencies and highlighting the connection between spirit and matter, the project aims to ignite transformative dialogue and promote the urgency of sustainability and transparency in creative processes. The hope is to foster a more conscious and harmonious future by rethinking the way we engage in the materials provided to us by earth.
This work marked the culmination of my three years at the Royal Danish Academy, and I was honored to receive a travel grant in recognition of the project and my work throughout my studies. The project has been exhibited at Bornholms Kunstmuseum in Gudhjem and CLAY Keramikmuseum in Middelfart.
Below you can watch a video about the project, with a big thanks to Ido Art and also to Kirstine Autzen for beautifully capturing my final work in photos.
